Birthday Dinner (Tuesday)

Skipped breakfast and lunch, I know, I shouldn't have, but still. We went out to dinner for my birthday and I ate what I would typically eat at this restaurant. Ordered a salad, but it came last instead of first. This waitress was not with it, at one point she was even crying! What the hell! Anyways, I had a couple of drinks, salad, and the main coarse. Chicken, corn, and fries. Didn't finish the fries or the corn.

So I skipped breakfast, I know its not good to skip breakfast, but I just wasn't hungry. I made my healthy potatos with chorizo, 3 eggs, and had a cup of coffee.

Okay, does it really matter how much salad you eat if its supposed to be good for you?

Yes, another SmartOne for the week

Its just too easy to make! Enough said.

Potato and egg Breakfast

Made my potatos different this time, used much less cooking oil and was still able to get them fully cooked. I used very little olive oil just enough for the potatos not to stick to the pan and covered it with a lid on a low setting. When they were close to being done I removed the lid so they could get a little crispy and then mixed in 2 eggs. They came out just as good as I would normally cook them, but with 99% less oil. Had one bread (wheat) and my coffee, tried that pumpkin flavored creamer, it was pretty good. Can't wait till Thanksgiving! Umm pie...

Chicken wing dinner, Oct 22

Chicken wings with seasoning, mashed potatoes, and corn. I love corn and mashed potatoes, but I rarely eat chicken wings. I ate the 4 chicken wing which were not filling and I was not likeing them. I finished my meal still hungry, didn't eat anymore chicken because it just grossed me out to eat them, so I ended up getting some more mashed potatoes and corn.

A little Humor

Calories that Don't Count

The following food and situations have no calories to speak of ...

OTHER PEOPLE'S FOOD: A chocolate mousse that you did not order has no calories. Therefore, have your companion order dessert and you taste half of it.

INGREDIENTS IN COOKING: Chocolate chips are fattening, about 50 calories a tablespoon. So are chocolate chip cookies! However, chocolate chips eaten while making chocolate chip cookies have no calories whatsoever. Therefore make chocolate chip cookies often but don't eat them.

FOOD ON FOOT: All food eaten while standing has no calories. Exactly why is not clear, but the current theory relates to gravity. The calories apparently bypass the stomach flowing directly down the legs and through the soles of the feet into the floor, like electricity. Walking seems to accelerate this process, so that a frozen custard or hot dog eaten at a carnival actually has a calorie deficit.

CHILDREN'S FOOD: Anything produced, purchased or intended for minors is calorie-free when eaten by adults. This category covers a wide range, beginning with a spoonful of baby tapioca -- consumed for demonstration purposes -- up to and including cookies baked and sent to college.

UNEVEN EDGES: Pies and cakes should be cut neatly, in even wedges or slices. If not, the responsibility falls on the person putting them away to "straighten up the edges" by slicing away the offending irregularities, which have no calories when eaten. If pie or cake is neatly cut, but the remainder is not easily divisible into equal servings, it's also permissible to even things up ... without calorie consequence.

Umm...taste good lunch

Decided to make a trip to the store today and get some healthy foods. Yup thats a salad your seeing. Tryed out that new ranch spritzer for my salad, but didn't like it too much. It was good yes, had less calories, but I like ranch flavor all over my salad and I kept having to spray it on. Used one of the grillin patties, cut it up into my salad and it gave my salad a good flavor. It was quick and easy. Cut up 2 eggs and 3 cherry tomatoes, a little cheese and croutons...umm umm good. Oh yeah had some Oj with it too.

Late breakfast today

Kept breakfast simple and quick since its almost lunch time. Used fat free milk, looked like watered milk, but it did the job. I guess.

I'm think I'm gonna skip the gym today. I'm sore all over from yesterdays workout. I did my workout yesterday for an hour and a half, which was good, then I got an invite to the gym late last night. I went for an hour, so I guess that counts for today, need to give my bones a rest.
